Because I had heard that there were problems with the mounting to the bumper. That it isn't strong enough.

I dont know if that was about our product and if it was I find that very hard to beleive. Mine has been on the car for over 30k miles and trust me there hasn't been another out there which has been given a rougher time . If someone had a issue it MAY have not been installed properly but it is a rather straight forward procedure and easily done at home so I find that doubtfull as well. Barring running into something and I've even done that ,they aren't coming off on their own. The mounting method has not failed as far as we kniow and if either I or Onasled haven't had them come off yet they are on for good

Hi Randy, someone has asked this already, and I didn't see it was answered. So, will this new one fit the regular S front?

I don't see why you would want it too. There is one made to fit a normal car. Or do you like the look of the Aero one over the normal one

Unfortunatly it will not fit a non aero car. The underside of the aero front end is quite different from the non aero. We were also thinking about making a " notched " one to fit the standard front end but the area where the " notch " would be would almost be reduced to nothing. The splitter was designed for function first and by reducing that amount of area it would be less effective.

This was actually very close to our first design. We were told by our composit shop that with the military using so much CF these days they would not be able to find enough material to make them (: Don't give up hope tho things could always change .

Mine works just fine. I'v banged it into curbs, run it at 110MPH, scraped it on the bottom endlessly and it has held up fine. Feel free to check it out next time we're at a joint meet.

Im having problems selling in the UK because of silly speed bumps we have over here to slow the traffic down...well i say bumps, maybe more like hills theyre that high !!

Ive been also asked if theres anychance of producing any for the COOPER (also MINI ONE here in the UK)

For those of you who've already rcv'd an aero splitter, did it come with any instructions?

I'm actually getting ready to buy the M7 splitter. I am planning on having it body color painted so it matches the rest of my Hyper Blue MCS Cabrio. Is this a fairly easy install or should I take it to my MINI dealer for them to take on? I am also planning on lowering my car about 1 inch with H&R springs. Would any body recommend this with the splitter or should I keep it the stock setting. I think it would look sweet lowered and with the body colored splitter.

Sounds like a good plan. I have my car running at least 1.5 inches below stock and have had no issues in well over 30k miles. As for the install it is really easy but if you like, give me a call and I can talk you thru it to see if you feel comfortable enough to do it.

Hey Randy,

Any chance you'll be bringing a few of these to AMVIV? I'm seriously considering one (for my brand new Aero Kit! ), but I think I'd like to see it 'in person' first.

Thanks,

We will try to bring what we can to AMVIV. The limiting factors will be what we have in stock and what we can fit in the cars
