Joker is right. You may only need 15 to 20 feet the first time, but you may need to touch it up or redo it.

Ok, just did the belt line this afternoon everything went smooth except one thing. When I was going around the corners I found it very difficult to make the vinyl tape not wrinkle on the top. The corners on the back of the car is fine, but the two corners in the front of the car has a few wrinkles on the top. I have to redo it tomm, but I'm sure the results will be the same. Any advice on how to go around the corners without wrinkling the top of the vinyl tape?

EDIT: Hh yea, the car looks so much better with a blacked out beltline, pictures don't do this cheap mod justice!

use a hair dryer...the heat will allow it to stretch more easily and conform to such weird corners. Just heat it up a tiny bit, smooth it on like normal....it might take a little pulling and stretching, but it should work perfectly for what you are trying to do

Finally, me too

Today JBSF3 (Jason) and I did the blackened belt line, it was quicker than i thought. After watching him doing the right side and the rear, i did the left myself, it was very very easy.

We also, took my side vents out, Jason wet-sanded and painted them to flat black. Came out pretty good, now the car looks cool. I will post some pics as soon as I get my fuel cap powder coated (tomorrow) and the black mirror caps put on.

Great job! I'm still amazed that a >$20 mod makes such a big difference.

You can use a hair dryer to heat it, but I didn't need to. I just took my time and let the bottom of the tape stretch to fit. The trick is not to stretch the tape too much, but just enough so the bottom fills in.

Nice berk. What about powder coating the door handles and exhaust tips? They are still gonna be chrome.
