I have a JB car with a blacked out beltline and smoked glass, and I think it looks great..and mean. I HATE chrome on aggresive looking sports cars and so this was a must do mod for me. Although I am going to redo some sections this spring due to weather, etc.

I finally got around to adding the blacked out beltline. It makes a big difference in looks.

Anyone have any leftover blackout tape thats not being used? Hopefully enough to cover the entire beltline with a little extra for any mistakes I make. I'll trade by sending you a copy of Italian Job DVD.

Since I no longer have the MCS (Doug Whalen has it now), if anyone wants my leftover tape I can ship it to you. Originally cost $17.95 for 150 feet. I probably have around 125 feet left.

I can ship it via USPS Priority Mail for $5. I'll sell what's left for $10. So if you're interested, the total would be $15 shipped in the US.

Let me know if anyone wants it.

is it matte or gloss and it is for the beltline correct? How much will I have left after doing one car...just in case I mess up?

Thanks!

Check my first post (#1 in this thread):

I used 1/2" 3m low gloss black vinyl tape from Terry's Auto Supply. It was $17.59 for a 150' roll. The low gloss black is a great match to the rest of the trim.
I probably used less than 20'. Didn't have much waste when I did mine. There really isn't anything to mess up. Just take your time with it. Also, make sure you remove the protective coating on the tape when you're done!

I probably have over 125' left, but there's really no way to check it. I'd guess that you'd have enough to do 5 or 6 beltlines!

I'll take it for $15 shipped. Do you want pay pal? PM me your information.

Thanks and sorry for not catching the 1st post with the answers to my questions.

I really need to get my act together and get some tape for this. I have waited far to long to do this mod. Thanks for all the inspiration everyone.

Black out kit went on easy.

I like this "BMW Style" chrome belt line trim, but the eye no longer is naturally drawn to that area any more.

Nothing quite like an inexpensive mod (15 bucks ) which make a big difference in a cars appearance.

Picked mine up at Pep Boys for around $6.95 and still have enough leftover for at least 1 more MINI, plus it is cut into the correct lengths.
