Where to get full switch bank panel?

I've been searching the forums trying to find a link to a vendor that sells the full switch bank panel but haven't been successful.

I'll use the rear fog switch to either operate driving lights or enable the rear fog option. I believe the rear fog option was not allowed in the US or at least in some states. Can anyone fill me in on if they are now legal in NC?

Thanks for your input.

Hello Mellow,

It's a dealership item. What year is your MINI? Later 05 models are even pre-wired for the rear foglight, meaning you just need the lamp ***'y and the toggle panel.

Are you a member of the Carolina MINI club (M2C2)? That gives you a discount at all the North and South Carolina MINI dealerships. My M2C2 discounted price for both panel and lamp at Hendrick MINI was $90 total.
Install was a cinch.

Tarzan,

I have an 04 JCW. No, I'm not currently a member of M2C2. Will look into joining. Are rear fogs legal in NC?

Thanks!

i Just bought one switch for $5 from someone who was splitting a switch bank up. Its far cheaper then the $100+ item, and looks exactly the same You just have to find someone who is selling switches.

RallyMINI,

Was this on NAM? Any insight on a search I could do or did you just happen on the sale?

This was on NAM. Someone bought an entire bank of switches, used one and sold the rest to other people to make up for his purchase. I just put out a "want to buy" post in the marketplace and waited for a response. Every once in a while you see them posted for sale in there too.

You should be able to buy the toggle switch panel with all switches for about $75 from a dealership ... my weblog entry here has the part numbers, depending if you have DSC or ASC+T.

I don't see many people selling individual toggles now - I think few people do the upgrade these days.

From what I understand you can't simply add a switch with out custom wiring. If you want it to work with the MINI's existing wiring you have to get a new bank of switches.

I got around the problem by Specifying the rear fog light in my build.
