Thank you everyone.
Jauquin; yup, been busy de-chroming. Well sort of. This is just black vinyl tape for now, but I'm liking it enough to go the next step. Was nice to meet you at the Dragon, wish we would have had more time to talk. Next year.
Adam; the CHMSL is visible the same as your Cooper was/is. I guess it might be obscured to a 18 wheeler, if he a foot away from your rear bumper but then I think that's the least of one's troubles.
DARK06mcs, Scott is correct. We will use a nut insert and a cap SS screw in the final production. Also the production Wickerbill will be made of CF or AL2. This Wickerbill is a pattern for the prototype.

a little off topic, but are you saying you did the handles in vinyl too? Not too many bends?

The spoiler looks great. I have a feeling i won't be able to afford it, but i certainly want one

Looks pretty good for black vinyl.
Was also nice to meet you. We will have more time to talk next year like you said. This year was my first one, I was just trying to take it all in.
Maybe a rat race between me, you, and Sid?

Yes, the handles are taped, for now. Actually easier to do then the cap, even taking the cap off. Get 3 inch tape.

This is, unfortunately, one of the first mods I've seen here that I don't like... maybe it's because its vinyl, but it doesn't look right to me for some reason. Kinda... blobby. maybe it's just the pics (all close-up). Shrug. Oh well, you know what they say about opinions...

This year was my first too.
Look forward to that. Sid, you in?
Looks like I will have to bug Peter for components (DFIC,V3 AGS, USS etc) to help even up the playing field.

For anyone interested.. I've got on order a Saclam wing.. which looks similar to the Wickerbill.. a little more stright off the back with a little lip. I won't admit what I'm paying to have it brought here.. but I only hope that the Wickerbill is a fraction of the cost.. I'm hoping it won't bee too "rice".. We'll see after it gets here. I think it's being shipped via sea turtle.. so it'll be a couple weeks before it's here.

(not my car.. these are the pics from Saclam)

So anyone know...since there are a lot of parts that are being brought into production and available to non GP owners that are GP parts, is the rear wing element going to be available for the public as well. In looking at the pictures of it it does not seem to be that difficult to make and i am curious why noone has taken the task to make a aftermarket one. I love the Aero wing 2 but the GP wing hars such a more aggressive look to it to me. Just curious if anyone knows.
Thanks

From what i've read and heard, the GP wing comes with the rear glass, and the rear glass comes with the rest of the boot hatch.

But now that the GPs are on the streets, it shouldn't be long before someone copies it.
