There may come a time for a change. :D
Any more pics would be cool.
And I'll ask over at mini2.

I have a variation on the viper stripe theme.
I would post pictures but every time I try it does not work so feel free to take a look in my gallery.

I like the viper stripes. I have a CR/B MC on order and want to do some stripes other than black. I like the silver on silver, that is suttle. Has anyone tried silver/light gray on CR? I think the black stripes may be too bold.

The gunmetal/anthracite would look sweet on the CR (without the white roof). Think of the MC 40 car with the anthracite wheels...that combo looked tough.

Put some anthracite panasports or R90's on and you'll be in business!

Really sweet looking car

Is this a custom set or from a vendor?

Really like the color of these stripes and it goes perfect with the PS. Nice touch wrapping over the release handle and around the reverse light!

Thanks, I customized the color with dragonflyer, a vendor here on NAM, who owns/runs Aesthetic Creations. He originally suggested a dual color stripe (with a black pinstripe) but I thought the monochromatic look would be more appealing. I'm happy with my choice. The viper stripes gives the MINI a more aggressive look...which is fitting, because I'm starting to do some aggressive mods! Anyway, I feel like I have a brand new car again.

The install was a pain in the ***...it took him 7.5 hours to do since it was so hot (106 degrees!) and the vinyl was curling like it was under a heat gun. If you are going to do the stripes like I have them, you definitely want to leave the install to a pro.

I took a couple more shots that show them in different lighting conditions, as the stripes seem to change colors.

Thanks, Krassanova. I played with some stripe material that I got from Cooper Flags on my red die cast car. I agree. What I found was a dark silver with a lighter silver on top. I will try the anthracite and gunmetal if I can find some material. Hey any CR/B's out there with other than black stripes that I can see.

Very nice Krass...
I've found a local guy who can do it for $300.
Pretty fair if you ask me.

My car is DS and I'm probably doing anthracite rims.
What color would you do stripes in?
BTW, I'll be tinting the windows.

Yeah, I'd say $300 is a steal! The guy is either really good at it, or he doesn't know what he's getting himself into.

With the dark silver and the anthracite wheels you are going to have lots of dark accents, I'd say going with a PS stripe...sort of the reverse of what I've got would look good. Also, you can mix it up a bit with a black pinstripe and silver stripe. The black would probably pick up the tires, tint, mirrors and other black accents you've got.

I tried a bunch of different combos with dragonflyer, who was able to put my design choices on a PS MINI through Photoshop. I tried about 5-6 different combos before I found the one I currently have. Lots of people will have an opinion on what colors you should do, but ultimately you have to live with the choice, so it's great to be able to see the stripes on your virtual car before you buy them.

Krassanova, Thanks!

I know Mike, or at least have had him do some work for me already, good stuff. We've got a CB roof graphic and the perforated sunroof portion going on the wife's car Friday.

We've got a local NASCAR graphic guy that is doing the install for us. He also cuts vinyl (only narrow sizes, not roof size) so I think I'll get a estimate from him for something like this.

Thanks for the extra photos and once again I must say that that really looks sharp! Your installer did fantastic work, love the wraps around the grille and the continuation of the graphic "under" the scuttle vents, Top notch!

Yeah Mike did the install at the LA Randy Webb pulley party. He was suffering in the heat.

I suggest working with him for custom vinyl...even if you can't get him to do the install.

Krass, the guy I found is the shop that did the blue car on mini2 i posted.
He can custom any stripe I want.
I think I'll live w/ the car for a bit, then decide what to do.
But I agree a PS stripe may look best, like the pics at the beginning of this thread. Its also what the shop owner liked.
