Every gadet-guy has to have these

They are like the MINI mirrors you can get in other countries that when the car is off they fold inward towards the window to take up space / really they are just to show off in my opinion... but still I am interested ....

When hooked to the factory alarm they can fold in when alarm is armed and fold out when alarm is un-armed.

the two links below from motoringfile.com show video and details on folding mirrors

http://www.motoringfile.com/2004/08/...olding_mirrors
http://www.motoringfile.com/2003/09/...FoldingMirrors

also newministuff.com sells several kits to do this

Great, now the MINI can "wiggle it's ears." Something else I can't do!

Still very interesting and I like that fold in when alarm is on is a good idea!

Actually that would be quite convenient for me, as the street outside my house is quite narrow.

my goal is to save some significant dough...

Or else I would have purchased the BMW parts...

I dont have any details yet, but think I might be able to get them for 1/3 the going rate of the BMW parts....

(Will do Clover!)

Not a great price

much better price that this is what I am looking for... I know the cost structure of Asian products, and this is high...

I have someone hunting it down for me, but now they need to hear back from the factory.

I will post my results when I get information.

Thanks...
