Adding fog lamps?

Ok so I just contacted my MA to see if I could get a spec change but she said my car was already in production. I wanted to add front and rear fog lights and switch the 16'' 5 star wheels for 15'' 5 star Rockets. I didnt think my car would go into production so soon because I got royal grey with a silver roof and I thought that color combo would take a bit longer. Any advice as to what I should do? Is there a way to add fog lights after I recieve my car?

Thanks

you can either do what i did and add aftermarket fogs in the little slots, but to fabricate a mount for them can be the pain, and no pretty switch

i think dealer does charge a pretty penny for the factory set though

the fog lights in the bumper is avaliable as a retrofit kit, BMW PN 63130395387 and runs about $133 dollars. Its plug and play, needs to be reprogrammed and needs a new toggle bank.
The rear fog light "retrofit" is just a matter of buying the light housing and getting a new toggle bank and having the programming done, which you are going to have to do already.

just ask for a toggle bank like your including a fog light and rear fog switch, a rear fog light for an 05 cooper and a front fog light retrogit kit, BMW PN 63130395387.

Hope this helps,

Is the car pre-wired for front fogs in 2005/2006 models? To retrofit, is it only necessary to install the light fixtures, not the harnesses?

buy the retrofit kit, it will include everything you need.

I ordered my 2006 without front fogs. I'd be especially interested in installing the front fog retrofit if the harnesses are already on the car and all I had to do was to install and plug in the actual lights. There is a PDF of installation instructions on MotoringFile (http://www.motoringfile.com/howto/Fog%20Lights.PDF) but it is dated 2001 and shows a fair amount of work to add the wiring. Does anyone know whether more recent cars from the factory come pre-wired for front fogs?

I had my front bumper off today while changing to a black grille. My 2006 is not pre-wired for front fogs.
