Lower Aero Grille Install Question

hey guys,
i just got my aero grilles today, i broke my stock grille taking it off, so i figured it was an excuse to go buy the aero grilles.

top one, no brainer, popped right in and the fit is awesome!

bottom one, little more of a challenge....

i cut around all the tabs down to about 1/8 inch away from the edge of the grille. then i found out all the tabs were off, so i figured i would just two side tape it on so i cut all the tabs off so it will fit nicely.

ok, sit in there great and the fit looks perfect, but i had a problem, the two way tape doesnt touch the back side of the grille, so it wont hold!

i was just wondering i anyone has simply screwed the grill down with about 4-5 screws from the front on the outside. i thought it might give it a racey look to it with some black round domed head allen head screws holding it down.

i think i'm gonna go tomarrow to get the screws for it.

whatcha guys think?

i would first try figuring out a way to mount it without putting screws through the front. in my humble opinion, that looks "slapped on".

I wouldn't screw it on. I'd buy another lower grill if that's what it takes.
I had no problem with mine. Good install instructions are only a search away.

well, after looking at my grille again, i noticed a pretty big gap at either end of the grille on the top, so i think i'm just gonna buy another, and be super carefull this time.

i hadnt read that you had to slot the holes for it to fot, and that was my problem. easy fix, i just hope Classic has another one in stock!!!!

Epoxy glue! That's what I did and it looks GREAT. Don't screw it on. I left enough of the tabs to touch the bumper cover, and I glued it there and along the bottom... it's solid!

Expoxy glue from your local auto parts store for about $5 will do the trick. Best of luck.
