BRG interior. Was it ever produced?

I have an 04 MCS with the anthracite or whatever the rubbed aluminum looked is called and I want the toy-car interior look of body color matched dash and side pieces. Did Mini ever make body matched brg interior panels?

My '03 Cooper is Silk Green. It has an Emerald Green interior. As some people at the Dragon informed me this month, this was a "mistake" by BMW. Consequently, my car is in a very small group of cars having this for the '03 production year, as the Silk Green cars were to have been offered with Black interiors.

Warning

I have the BRG trim that Tuls was selling in the marketplace. (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=37314)

And I love it, BUT it does make the interior darker. When the sun shines in it looks awsome. In dim light it looks black. Ofcourse the BRG exterior is the same way. My point is: Be sure of what you are getting into. Trim rings are easier to swap be than a whole dash.

Wow, that is an amazing story!!! I've never even seen a MINI in your trim, but I get a thrill out of seeing any Silk Green MINI. Got any pics???

Thanks. Would like to get the dash in brg too.

I love the "toy-like" look of the painted dash. Its kind of retro too. I don't care if it looks dark. The fake alloy looks fake...some like it.

I'd happily trade the brushed aluminum look with someone if they want to paint theirs BRG first and help me with the install!

I have heard that "Alloy Patina" finish on the dash does not paint well. My dealership tried and was not successful. The OEM paint did not adhere.

I had my dash painted using Anthracite painted dash pieces and that worked fine.

Emerald Green Natural Leather was an option on the Cooper (and One across the pond) until July 2004.

AprilWhine @ MINI2 used to have a 2002 Silk Green Cooper with this interior.

A "rare" combo but not a "mistake"

I only reported what was told to me by some people at the Dragon. I'm COMPLETELY thrilled to have the emerald green interior in my silk green Cooper. What I just cannot understand, though, is WHY BMW discontinued such a pretty body color AND such a neat-looking interior.

Yeah, agreed. I wanted that color. My wife likes the dark blue we've got though, so all is not lost.
