Does any body know where I can get just the side skirts of the Aero kit for my MCS. I don't want to go through the dealer so if anybody knows were I can get them and how much they are. That would really help.

Has anyone found these for less? Does anyone have a best price on black plastic wheel arch's, rear valance ect., stock/aftermarket. I want to paint mine body color. Someone said here a while ago that what we need are after market wheel arch's that are wider to close up the wheel gap rather than lowering and becoming a snow plow in winter, I agree. Vendors are you listening (reading).
Vendors check in and feel free to post your thoughts.

Is there now or will there ever be a factory pre-painted option for the aero kit pieces? Most every aero kit I've seen has many more paint chips than original front components from the factory...

Pre-painted aero kit has been available for a while now. Most aftermarket painted bumpers tend to be more vulnerable to rock chips, making clear guard or x-pel protective film a necessity.

dave- did you finish getting your new set of arches painted?

btw, does the paint chip at all on those arches? I am assuming that
the rear arches towards the front get hit with debris more than the
front? (i see a lot more scuff marks on the rears than the fronts on
my car).

That's a very reasonable price I expected they would be more. Now if only the AERO side skirts were priced as reasonable after all it's only a plastic molding same as stock just different shape.
I think Bisch has it right "DAMN! Those must be the least expensive MINI parts on the whole car!!! "

I'm doing the final sanding today. They should be painted before end of the week. Thank you for the info, Ken!

The front ones have clear guard on them. As for the rear, I didn't really notice any chips but as a precaution, I'll get clear guard for the newly painted arches.

>>Did you cut your own clearbra for the front?

Actually, someone at the X-pel shop did the install. Besides the "pre-cut" kit, he also custom trimmed some pieces for the borders of the grilles, front of the arch, and rear bumper top.

I'm having the new arches painted today. It should be ready later this week. When I get them back, I'll add the clear bra myself.
