Blackout and Aero Grilles

Finally finished the aero grilles on "Black Tie" and they really complete the look of the front end. Now I just need to rewire the driving lamps. You can also kind of see the beltline blackout. I am on a mission here people.

Just thought I'd share some pics.

Beltline blackout is my next mod! If you can remove your mid grille, you should think about getting some flat black to spray on the double sided tape Looks awesome!

i would suggest picking up some tinted turn signal lights and either paint the Cooper S side grills or pick up a set of Cooper side grills if you want to go all the way

Glad to see you got the grilles on. Did you remove the driving light brackets or did you hack up the old grille like I did?

Guess it doesnt show

But the side gills are already painted black guys. I did leave the "S" red however.

Yeah, kinda hacked it up...but my buddy is very adept with a dremel, and so only the backing plate was "slotted" allowing it to be replaced, and no harm was done to the grille visually speaking.

I actually have the old one for sale. Top and bottom. Anyone interested. I'll get some pics up this afternoon maybe.

Yeah. Actually that isnt tape, the tape went with the louvers. Its the bumper frame I imagine, just metal with holes in it. It does show a bit and I was planning on pulling and spraying. Vader is the look after all.

Get some of those silver coated turn signal lights to clear up the amber coloring.

Get some 3m vinyl tape 1/2 in thick from a website (don't remember where I got mine). Choose regular black or flat black (I chose regular, it's a little shiny and goes nicely with shiny windows).

Then take the tape and put it over the beltline. I'll post pics of mine soon since I just did it today.
