I ordered this on my new MINI and don't know what it looks like. Is there a picture out there? Does anyone have it?

Did you get the JCW kit or did you get the stick on kit? If you do a search on the forum, there are severl users who have pictures. I think one has one all custom done and there is another user with the JCW kit. They both look good, but not sure about the stick on kit.

This is the 'JCW' version in my MC40. Its a complete replacement for the stock dash. Hopefully this is the kit that you ordered and, if so, it'll look AMAZING in your MINI. (I was at the AUDI dealership the other week to look at an S4 Avant and the dealer was kept stressing the special carbon fiber dash in that model - which, after he saw the interior of the MINI, we both doesnt look as good as the MINI version.)

From what I've read in a previous thread a while back, a couple of owners have expressed disappointment with the 'stick on kit'.

CONGRATULATIONS on your new MINI!!! Regardless of which CF kit you got (JCW, JCW, JCW), there will be about 1 million other things you'll be smiling about when you get it. Welcome to the family

There was a firm out of australia that was making CF down tubes for the interior that would match up nicely .

IIRC, the JCW CF interior bits are expensive!

Holy crap i just tried to google those cf downtubes in australia and came upon a link regarding the JCW Carbon Fiber Kit...$1300? THATS what tacked on the extra dough for me MC40?! I had no idea. Good lord. The VIS Hood and Hatch barely top out at $900 combined.

The GIAC/19%/JCW Injectors INSTALLED is cheaper than that.

On second thought, I take back what I said about the CF - if I had a choice, I'd definetely spend that $1300 towards performance instead and get that dash custom painted (like quite a few NAMers have done very well )

Dang Mini D, I thought Tuls was the NAM CF King. I think you might give him a run for his money. Nice work, those down tubes DO compliment the JCW CF very well.

Its neverending it seems, I think Tuls is a ways ahead with all the extra upholstery work.

"Hi, My name is Bud, and I am a carbon fiber addict".........

Tuls and I are planing something in conjunction with each other, You get two CF sickos together and funny things happen.

Woah. Did I just see two racing seats in the back as well? Is that an OEM JCW seat for the back? The way the middle seatbelt buckle thing comes together, it looks perfectly oem. Very nice - and I would imagine very comfortable for the back seat passengers.

When you said it was your black whole, you werent kidding brotha! lol, money well spent though, well done.

wow, thanks everyone. I have a much better idea what it'll look like now. I ordered the CF interior trim kit-- is that the one that you don't think looks good? I had no idea so ordered it just in case. Any pictures of that? Or should I get rid of that option-- does it look flimsy or something?

Thanks for the help!

I had my buddy call VIS for a hood for my car because of a hook up on prices and he was told they no longer make either one of the hoods? And I was under the impression they didnt make the fenders, the spoiler, or the rear hatch anymore. So if anybody knows any different feel free to chime in and let me know.

I suppose I'm a clueless newbie car person, but I think that looks pretty good! Thanks for the pic. I think I might keep the interior trim, and if I like it a lot, switch it out for the JCW upgrade as mentioned above. Thanks for the information everyone-- it really helped!

I've seen them on ebay....Right now I think you can only find the hood and hatch...They probably stopped making them because there wasn't enough of a demand...

Note that the car in mini_d's picture is a pre-05 model, with a 5-piece dash. The current dash has only 3 pieces - there's a center section, with the gauges and central A/C vents, like in the picture above, and then the right and left panels extend all the way to the outside vents. There's no separate panel over the passenger side airbag, and no separate piece over the steering wheel.

The picture shows two bare (ie, not CF) sections - one above the passenger airbag and a less obvious one above the steering wheel. I'm not sure if CF pieces for those sections didn't come with the CF kit that year, or whether someone just decided to leave them off this particular car. (Personally, I like the way the bare sections look!) Either way, I suspect that the CF kit for 05s goes all the way across the dash. If it's some sort of stick-on kit, it might be possible to cut out some sections, but I don't know how feasible that would be, or how it would look in the end.

CANCEL THE ORDER, ITS A HOKEY POS!!!!

125 bucks i'll never get back. had it on my car for a week, started to peel off, i just ripped it off and threw it in a drawer.

i have a full set for the dash for 30 bucks, you just need new adhesive if you want it all.

The money you're spending on completely useless carbon fibre interior dress up items could be feeding hundreds of famine-stricken children, who would otherwise starve to death. How's that for a buzz kill?
