Can you buy from the dealer the side skirts only for the aero kits? If so, does anyone have a price installed?

 

Yes you can. I forgot the exact price but I think they were $285 a piece (don't quote me on that).

Important note: In addition to the side skirt itself you also need to order the black insert that fits into the rear of the skirt and a replacement for the Cooper S logo metal plate that sticks on top of the side skirt (if you open the door and look down you'll see it).

 

Last I heard, the unpainted side skirts are $196 each and the grilles are $3.36 each (this is from Classic MINI www.driveclassicmini.com). I'm not sure about the painted price, but you can order them pre-painted in any factory color. Install them yourself... it is very easy to do.

 

Can you get them factory painted in the discontinued colors, such as indi blue? I would think not but this seems to be the place to ask

 

Here's a question i have been meaning to ask. If you order them pre-painted by the factory, are the little black parts that flow up into the arches painted black like the arches are, or are they body colored?

Anyone know how much the painted ones are from classic?

 

They're the textured black like the arches.

Edit: Added pic of my 02 MC skirts. I purchased these from Classic with the entire kit last October. The paint matched perfectly! BTW, that is Indi Blue.

 

I have a set of aero kit side skirts still in the packing material/bubble wrap that I'm probably not going to use (still undecided). If anyone really needs them, PM/email me and I'll make up my mind.
