Protection for painted rockers/sills

So, I had all of the plastic trim pieces painted (pics to follow shortly) and I wanted to know how to protect the sills from getting knicked/scratched due to entering and exiting the vehicle. Does anyone make a plastic sill "guard/cover/protector"? Does 3M make something that will cover the sill area?

Thanks!

Protection for painted rocker/sills

I had the 'clear-bra' installer do the door rocker/sills on my MCS. With out a doubt one of the smarter things that I have done to the car!
Try it, you'll like it.

Hope this helps...

I just did mine over the last week or so! Actually I did the parts that are exposed to the outside elements. I didn't do the inside part where the actual sill/logo sits.

What I did was buy a 12" bulk roll of film from Auto Paint Guard (NAM sponsor) and cut the pieces to match. The film is 8 mils thick. For the side sills I cut three pieces: LEFT end - roughly 3"x4", longggg MIDDLE piece which I wrapped around to the bottom - 64"x6" or thereabouts, RIGHT end - 3"x4" roughly. See these links:
