Should make a poll as to whether or not it should even be considered a mini anymore

Yup it drives, they did an episode of RIDES on TLC about the guys who built it. They followed them as they built their newest creation which was a 2001 X5 for Alpine. They showed their past creations which was this mini, they were slowly driving it down the street. It probably has almost 700lbs of extra weight due to the stereo stuff so the its not going anywhere fast hehe.

After having seen this "MINI" in person at Hot Import Daze in San Diego last year, I'd have to agree with your assessment.

It really was a bit over the top.

MINI + LSD (NOT the differential kind, either) = The monstrosity you see above. Ugh.

A lot of that is lighting effects thrown onto the car from overhead Varilite or Cyberlight fixtures with pattern gobos (little steel discs with die cut patterns).

Exact same thing that happens to concept cars, either ends up sitting on display for years or gets crushed and recycled.
