I had an aluminum **** very similar to that in my ex New Beetle, really looks great, if I didn't already like the Mini's shiftknob I'd replace it.

I've had the polished Whalen Shift **** for a few weeks and have been very impressed. Very heavy, great finish, and excellent machine work

$130.00! You've got to be kidding me, for a shift ****!!! You guys have way too much disposable income. Comes with a good guarantee though.

You know, I was thinking the same thing, $130 is way to much for a chunk of chrome for a shifter, way to much, now the $85 is getting closer, how about $50, then count me in for sure.

$130!!?? Come on people, the stock one is extremely nice and goes fantastically with the interior. I live in one of the hottest areas in the world, and it can get pretty cold in the winters aswell (desert climate) and have no problem with heat/cold on the shift **** during extreme weathers, and even if you think it does, my advise is to stay away from chrome alltogether and get leather or plastic...

Sorry but i kinda get offended if someone says anything remotely bad about my Bullet but at the end of the day, its a matter of preference...

I had them send me pictures,looks neat in brushed finish with shift pattern engraved on it. I wonder what it will look like with chrome ring for tach and spedometer,maybe the polished finish. As for the price ,it is not much more than the rings i ordered (and they are on back order for 2 MONTHS ).I will decide on this soon.

Changing shift *****... putting on seat covers... changing this changing that... I bought my MINI because I LOVE IT JUST THE WAY it is...I don't understand all this change "stuff"... MINI engineers put a lot of thought into all the design aspects of the car so that everything "works" together... with all the changes I think you'll end up with a design nightmare... BUT again, that's ONLY my opinion... Thanks Paul

I received the ****. It’s really nice. I'm not the type to pimp my cars out. I’ll take a sleeper over a show car any day. This **** is understated, very well engineered, and feels great in your hand. Its just the right size and weight. I will always support a small independent shop when I see a product that is exceptional. As far as shift ***** go these are definitely exceptional. I agree that 130 is a bit crazy. 85 is only slightly above average as far as aftermarket shift ***** go however. That’s why I jumped on it when I saw it.

Now all I need is the car.....

If you went with the "brushed" finish, have you put any thought into using a gun-bluing solution to darken it to match your anthacite interior pieces?

Mr. Whalen does phenomenal work!

Here's a custom job which arrived and was installed today.

{Should've probably taken the picture before I installed, but you'll get the gist...}
