A while back I was asking around to see if anyone made a plastic ring bracket for the shift boot. Every one I've ever removed has been broken and swapping in a new (real leather) shift boot) was about impossible. I just discovered that the plastic ring for the automatic transmission will work just as well! So if you have a sloppy shift boot area, there's your fix!
