Can someone give me a quick lesson on how to remove the shift boot or lead me to an old thread with instructions?

Shift Boot is a breeze. First remove the **** by pulling straight up on it. (Do not have your face in the line of fire though, or you'll be sorry). Then once this is done, gently grasp around the shift ring and lift straight up. There are four plastic pins that come up with the ring/boot. lastly, remove the nylon tie holding the boot to the gear shift.
