Everyone,
A contact of mine at MINI emailed me with the following link to pictures of the 1/2 million dollar Alpine MINI show car display at this years Consumer Electronics Show. Pretty extreme!

I thought Tron as well when I saw this....thought it was interesting what a huge budget can do when you unleash it. Supposedly Alpine picks a different car every year for CES and takes it to extremes. Certainly not driveable but a definite attention getter.

Love the paint, I could guess that it sounds incredible, the flairs and wheels give a mean low stance. But where do you sit in the stupid thing? Hey! I'm all for customizing with a unlimited budget, but if you loose total drivability... It's not a car anymore.

what I find even more incredible, right hand shifting in a right hand car! look where the shifter was relocated. and how high up it ended.

Incredible paint job, but that’s about as far as it goes for my liking.

I don’t think sifting’s going to be any more of a problem than finding some place to sit – where’s the seat?

I just heard from a friend that the seat is attached to the Boot which is extended... it slides over the amp windows .when closed the seat is in the right position for driving and it is drivable

1/2 million dollars is a bunch o money.....

@ let's say 50k each..... for a truly decked out "realworld" MINI...you could get
a even..... ten of em...

That's just about every color ..correct?????

Personally I'd get 2 of em.... and put the rest of the money..in da bank

Now for the 1/2 mill MINI...
It only looks like it cost about .....$289,674.18 to me

Peace,
D

Why in the world would a company take a perfectly good MINI and spend 1/2 million dollars only to end up with a useless auto?
No wonder some companies can't make a profit.

Well Charles...It's very simple...It promotes their high end product line and is probably considered advertising which means its a tax write off anyway.
