Hey all--

My sister gave me a set of chrome doorlock surrounds for x-mas and I haven't been able to install them yet. I'm not quite sure how to remove the stock black plastic surround. Is there a tool of some kind that I should use?

These are officially called "Chrome Doorknob Surround Rings" on the Moss website.

While I do not have the chrome lock surrounds myself, I have installed several other Moss chrome pieces. They all fit right over the original piece and then secured with double-sided 3M tape and/or adhesive. Did Moss supply you with any of these? I also got instructions with all the parts I ordered. I would give them a call - they are really nice folks!:smile: (Unless you got some other after-market pieces from E-bay, etc. Then you're on your own. )

 

These are from Moss, but they don't appear to fit over the stock piece and they didn't come with 2-sided tape so I'm not sure what is going on. I'm sure someone else out there has the trim, though. Anyone?
