Racing Stripe install question

I have a pair of BMW racing stripes for my MCS. When I lay them out on the car, there is a 3/8" gap at the top of the bonnet and a 3/8-1/2" gap at the bottom of the hood as well. I have heard people complaining about this gap, but I did not expect it to be so much.

Are the stripe part numbers the same for MC and MCs's? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Viraf

Can someone give me the part number for the LH and RH stripes so I can verify that I have the correct parts?

Thanks

If they are stripes made specifically for the MINI then you may be placing them in the wrong location for what BMW thinks they should be placed. Perhaps you are putting them too far out towards the wheels. Typically if you get them from someplace else 36 inches should be long enough. I just ordered mine from a sign shop and had them made 38 inches so I would be sure to have enough to overlap on the ends. You really don't want a gap. Makes the stripes look a little strange.
