door handle replacement on the f56 takes MAYBE 15 minutes total.

The fuel cap just twists off and takes about 10 seconds to replace.
And this seems to be a good video that follows the above for replacing the door handles...

Time to go for it....

Just did it, pretty easy, used fishing line to pull the lock out.

Some videos online say that it’s a captive nut and won’t fall out, be warned, it will fall once backed out of the bracket.

Yes, be careful with the screw that's inside of the door. It is not captive on my 2015 F56. So be sure to not unscrew it all the way.

For cars with or without on the comfort access, if you dont have it, you just dont have a plug to use the little rubber buttons

They have the little Comfort Access button, if you have it factory or not and light for the handle cups. The light for the MINI wings logo comes from bottom panel door or the bottom of the mirror caps.

Here is the upgraded

The logo on my 2019 comes from under the driver's side mirror. The door handles have lights that light up the handle area.

Posted this in another thread, but it seems relevant here:

Having now replaced the door handles on my Clubman, here's some advice. Be careful when removing the stock handles. You want to try to make that as non violent as possible. Some of the videos online show how to use a screwdriver through the access hole to help support the spring loaded latch release. It also helps to use the screwdriver method on the non driver's side door(s) to hold the latch tangs in place while getting the new handle to engage. Mind you I didn't see those videos before attempting the handle replacement. The ones I reviewed made it seem like no big deal to just pull the stock handle out and let the spring loaded catch release.

NOTE: In my case the 2 of my 4 doors had the uncontrolled spring loaded initial release cause the cable inside the door (the Bowden cable) to come unseated from the end closest to the handle. Thus even with the handle easily swapped out it was impossible to open the door from the outside. The door opened fine from the inside. To fix this I had to remove the interior door plastic, then pull back the moisture barrier and gain access to the interior of the door (raise the window before doing this). Once I had access to the interior of the door I was able to remove the spring loaded latch assembly (there is a T15 torx under the outside door handle once it is removed. Then I was able to reseat the Bowden Cable. This was a major PITA. I'm surprised it happened to me twice when I didn't see anyone else mention this. So proceed cautiously.

Overall though, now that everything is back together the blackline handles look great on my new JCW Clubman.

Thanks for posting!

I am glad people do post things when they are found to be missing or maybe a better or alternative way. It surely helps the rest of us...

Glad your JCW is looking sharp!
