Anyone have the Sparco Milano Prestige in red leather?

I am contemplating the Milano Prestige in red leather but my dealer does not have a color swatch to see how closely it matches the MINI red leather. Does anyone have this seat in red and can they confirm that the color matches closely?

i thought the prestige only comes with black or tan leather... only the alacantra leather has the red... im pretty sure u can look up any sparco seat in alacantra and it'd be the same color...

i LOVE those seats.. would've gotten a pair myself if the airbags weren't in the seat!

They are available in black, tan, and red leather. The alcantara maybe a different red and I don't want to take a chance. Anyway I have ordered in black and will try to get a local trim shop to add red panels.

I paid $1129 for the seat and about $120 for the hardware. Yes you can fit it yourself quite easily - check out the instructions on this forum. The only "problem" is tricking the computer into "thinking" there's an airbag still there so the idiot light stays off.

You gotta pay to play

I've had mine for most of the year now and would do it all over again. And the "problem" is not a problem as long as you follow the instructions posted elsewhere on this site. Once the replacement resistor are pluged into the airbags harness, the light will never come on

Thanks MSFITOY. I did read about the 3 OHM < 1/2 watt resistor trick and was planning on a trip to Radio Shack this week to pick one up. I can't wait to get my bum in the seat.

I want so badly to get a pair of Sparco seats, but it's this time of year that I realize that the heated seats are soooooooo nice.

I think what I'll do is get a set and just use them in the warmer months. Looks like that would be easy enough to do.

I've been thinking about those seats for a while now, can't make a decision if that money wouldn't be better spent upgrading my brakes or not! at the end I end up doing nothing
How does everyone feel about changing just the driver's seat? personally I think it looks awkward.

here ya go:

As for mounting one seat, unless it's a race car, it would look dumb I think. Plus your significant other would think you're El Cheapo and selfish
