Taller Shifter?

The motion of the shifter in my car is great. I just dislike how low it is relative to the steering wheel. I find myself with one hand on the wheel and one hand on the shifter because the distance is far. Anyone care to share experience with a long shift **** like this one from Sneed?

I have this one in the 7" model: https://www.twmperformance.com/shift...ies-shift-****

Beware though, without a short shift adapter the throw will be much longer. Before I put my short shift kit on, I would be brushing the leg of anyone in the passenger seat with this ****.

I have the Cravenspeed adjustable short shifter with the S4S billy club ****. Had the same setup in my R56 too. The picture shows the shifter at it’s lowest setting. The shifter could be set a couple inches higher and the shift **** doesn’t have to be bottomed out, so it could be taller, but with a resulting longer throw.

The Helix adapter. The Cravenspeed one is nice but I couldn't justify spending 4x the price and more work for the same result.

I just ordered the Coolerworx shifter for this same reason.

You can’t compare an adapter with an adjustable shifter. I’ve had both. There’s a reason my last and my current setups are the CS adjustable shifter, S4S ****, and CS ProClip. I agree it’s more expensive, but the OP was asking about a taller shifter, not the least expensive short shifter.

Yeah I know. And I gave him a link to a taller shifter, then told him my issues of the throw being longer, so I offered my solution to that problem as well.
