stealth driving lights..?

Been looking for a set of 3" driving lights with a thin enough profile to mount behind the upper grille .. for stealth install. I like having the lights.. just dont like them flopping about on the front of the car much.

Initial measurements show I have a bout 2.7" of gap to deal with before shaving the back of the grille down for additional clearance.

*think a pair of 55W will melt the grille from the back?
*anyone already done a stealth install like this, have any input?

-thanks

For 3" driving lights you really need to consider motorcycle driving lights. I had a pair of them (with 55w bulbs) installed in the mouth of my first generation Miata and they provided excellent auxiliary lights. I don't know if they will melt your grill but they got pretty hot.

I am considering cutting some holes for a set of these poking though the grill:

Trying to work out how to mount them...

Also, lights behind grills kind of suck.
