I have an electric blue MCS with black bonnet stripes. I don't know if I like them anymore.

Has anyone taken them off on their own? I don't think that it would be too hard to do it.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this already.

I do actually!

If you lift up the corner of the stripe and pull back slowly, you should be able to remove it without leaving too much adhesive behind. I then used a 3M clay bar and some quick detailer as a lubricant to clean up the adhesive left behind. Once you get the stripe and the adhesive residue off, wax the entire hood.

Um, L. weren't you just at 901 this morning. No one said you had to hit 1000 tonight.

Using a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the adhesive will assist in taking off your bonnet stripes and leave less residue. You are less likely to do long term damage to the paint this way. Good Luck and go slooooowww -
