Black Bonnet Stripes

My MINI is soppose to come sometime this week and I was wondering if having BLACK bonnet stripes with a CR/W MINI cooper would look weird? I know this has been discussed before but the thread was over a year old. If anyone has any pics of a CR/W MC can they post it please. Thanks!

Danbangor, I have seen this combo and it looks awesome. The ones I have seen have thin white pin stripes that run along the outer edge of each black stripe. The contrast looks great. Very sporty. For what it's worth.

I believe the black stripes with the white edges are the OEM bonnet stripes... and I think the combo would look great. You can't go wrong with black because so much of the car is black already.

Godspeed.

CR and white top? No...don't do black stripes. Honestly, it won't look right

No way buddy. I am a designer, and my opinion is that a red mini w/ a white roof and black stripes would look too strange. You want a color on your stripes that will contrast with the car. Red and black blend a little too much to achieve a nice contrast.

My 2 cents.

yeah I tend to agree. IMHO black stripes work best with LY.

Black stripes also look great on my DS/B MCS! I think the black stripes on CR/W will look fine! If you happen to live anywhere near Athens GA you'll be quite popular...bulldog stance, black/red/white colors!! One things for sure, they're just vinyl, so if you don't like them, you can replace them!

Here's a picture of mine. Chili Red with a black top, and black stripes. Don't see this combo much. At least I don't usually.

Maybe they’ve changed, but a while back they would not put black stripes on white roofed MINIs. You could go after market, but MINI would not do it as a factory option.

I think it would look good if the rims are white...very sporty! The black stripes are nice with all the black bits, and the white roof is a nice contrast, but the white rims would tie it all together! Just my .02...

Hey now! That is a good job changing the roof color! Don't like it with the black stripes and white roof.

If you have that much time, do me a favor. The Robot builder thing at www.miniusa.com doesn't offer a black roof for the robot. And my skills using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro are lacking. Chili Red, Cordoba interior, black top, cup holder, stripes....

Think you can edit the jpg for me?

What I thought was super cool was that you maintained the reflections. Call it whatever you want, I thought it was a sweet job.

That color combo is one step away from looking like a Confederate flag.
'nuff said.

It's also only one step away from looking like an American Flag...so what's the point?

I wasn't really trying to make a point, just an observation. I suppose that you could make quite the nifty Confederate flag car if you wanted... To each their own.

Holy cow that is huge! The original jpg I got was only 102k!

But, also a very sweet job and thank you for taking the time to do it. I did not realize that you did this for a living.

Edit:
Duh! The movie is separate from the picture. And at first I thought you had done he whole "movie" from the MINI Robot .
