Has anyone colour coded wheel arches DIY?

I'd love to hear from anyone that has colour coded the plastic wheel arches and the trim round the bottom ( not the skirts) themselves. Is the finish like the rest of the car or does it look like a DIY job? Ive got a black mini and plan to do it soon myelf but dont want it to look unprofessional . I know exactly what to do and how to prep the plastic but am a bit worried my spray painting skills wont match up to the pros and it will basically look crap!

You can prep it yourself, but unless you have a professional paint booth, do not spray paint! Find a local professional painter and have them paint your pieces. Bring them the car or perhaps the gas cap to color match exactly.

Look up a thread AGOKART started detailing his own body-color wheel arches.

HTH,
Ryan

If you are already having second thoughts, take it to a bodyshop.

It takes quite a bit of practice to get the finish shiny like the pro's do it.
Also, it really helps to have a dust screen and be able to put a rich coat
of gloss at the end.
