I am looking to order a GP-1 wing for my R53. I was reading and found that on an R56 the rear glass did not need to be replaced for the GP-2 wing to fit on a standard R56.

Will a GP-1 wing fit on standard R53 rear glass?

So, You're saying that that it is required?

 

It looks by the way its mounts the seal between the glass and the body needs notched. Trying to dig through some old threads.

 

We will find out! I ordered the full setup from Germany yesterday (including rear glass). It is about a month out. I will post up when I get ready to install this Gem!

 

Let us know we can get the GP 2006 parts also, just dump the part number into our site, most have to come from overseas but you will not get held up in customs ordering it direct from ECS . Some Germany sourcing part places get help up.

The rear glass is different on the r53 GP.

 

Yep, has the brake light in the lower position on the window and those notchs in the glass on the side for the wing.
