Orciari question

I wanting to know from someone who has the Orciari body kit on there MCS about some bracket or something that has to be removed from the US equipped Mini's in order to get a proper fit. I'm currently on Deployment, however my 04 MCS is being worked on, and I would like to give as much information to my painter before he starts on Friday morning.

PS Pictures would be a huge help.

Thanks

Orciari kit

The bracket that you're referring to is part of the front bumper brace. For U.S. cars, MINI welds an 8" extension on the front bumper brace. To install the Orciari kit, you have to remove this extension at the weld on each side for the front bumper to fit.

I've attached some photos of my car with the Orciari kit installed.

That is one wild looking kit, and it works well in black - makes the Mini look mean. It's not something I would choose for my car, but it's cool to see it out there.

mross04 Question, what size rim & tire combo are you running, and is your MCS dropped? I will agree that dark tint will finish off your ride.

I stayed with the 17" wheel as best option for looks, ride and track use. Jury still out on the tint, but definitely no dark tint. I want everyone to be able to see those JCW sport seats clearly--they're the killer part of the car.

Hey I can feel you on the seats. I would like to see more of your ride. If not here you can hit me up with some pictures on my e-mail here on the ship. www.pellerit@wasp.navy.mil. I've got a ton of parts for my MCS that I've never seen. I can't wait to get home in September.
