Mini Touring cycle holder question

For those with the Mini touring cycle holder, do you have 2 mounted on your roof rack?

http://www.shopminiusa.com/PRODUCT/7...G-CYCLE-HOLDER

It looks like they are meant for the passenger side only since the lock and lever are located on the right side.

A second holder can be added to the left side. Due to possible handlebar interferrence, the second holder could be reversed with bike facing rearward and release would still be accessible on left side.
A friend of mine has two of these and did some mods to one side and was able to face both bikes forward, so that's a possibility as well.

I use fork mount bike trays on my car, but with those, the skewers can be removed and installed from the opposite side to allow for left/right mounting. Is it possible to remove the arm that holds the bike and install it on the opposite side of the tray (it looks like it comes off). This might solve the problem.

I looked at it and it does not look like it is possible to reverse the arm. Thanks for the responses!

This does not answer your question but I went with the Mini Fini Hitch on my S Coupe so I could add a Bike Rack or pull a Bike Trailer and they do make Bike Trailers BTW.

I love the Mini Fini. And the bike, well and custom Madone Six Series built just for me. Three of those would purchase a New Mini.

But then I drive the S Coupe and my options are limited. Bikes are great and thanks for posting.

I swapped the arm around on mine and use it on the drivers side. The instructions that are included with it actually show you how.
