I'm making a Lower dash panel in carbon fiber. I sold the MINI so I'm just making this as a side project. If you want it let me know!

I have a long way to go but all the weaves are nice and straight! polish polish polish.

Trimmed all holes and mounts and applied last coat of resin. I gotta do a test install then the final polish. Any volunteers? SoCal?

That looks great! I'd love to, but I'm in Canada and my car is in storage for the winter! Where did you get the carbon and resin from? I've been thinking about doing a few parts myself.

I got it from Carbon mods. Most likely I'll get it from a supplyer next time. The Carbon mods is marked up for resale with their kits. Works well though.

Very cool! I'm surprised CARBONMINI hasn't made this part yet honestly. I have their speedo, side vent and climate control faceplate, but there's a few parts ( like this one you've made) that they don't make, which to me, is silly considering their catalog of pieces. Would you be able to make a carbon fiber interior a-pillar? I've seen one picture somewhere of a JCW with carbon a pillars, but I can't find a piece like that anywhere for sale. I will be relocating to SoCal in the next 6 weeks and I would be more than happy to be a guinea pig if you plan on developing anything else. I have many crazy ideas for carbon pieces

 

I could do that for you. I'm retaining the base molded parts and just skinning the peices with Carbon. But If you wanted one I could make it happen for you. I dont see me going into production anytime soon but Its a fun hobby. Just done expect a super fast turn around. haha

It looks like it is for a 2nd generation MINI, am I correct? If it's for a 1st generation I might drive over from Scottsdale, Arizona for your test fit.

These are almost done. I need to do some polishing then were good to start fitting! Thes is going to look stunning on somebody's car! There are a few little imperfections but I'm very please with out these turned out! I think this with a chilli red dash would be badass!

 

I wish you were over here in Montreal, my MINI would make an awesome guinea pig for your pieces!

These are for sale. I havent had a chance to fit them to a car. They would possible requite minor dremmel work. There are a few little imperfections in a few places but nothing I feel takes away from the overall impact of the part. Shoot me a text or email if you want these. I just dont have the time to get a test car etc.
