Have a '04 MCS that is Chili Red with a black top. The interior is tan and black, leather seats and anthrasite dash. I really wanted red and black interior, like the blue and black you can get. But unfortunately you can't get red and black leather interior. In fact, you can't even get red and black cloth.

Any price estimates, and suggestions on who to talk to, about completely re-doing the interior? I want to try to maintain the stock look though.

Do a search for KerMINI. He's got custom leather seats.

Thanks for the links and ideas. That covers the seats.... (bad pun)

What about door panels and carpet? Not finding much out there on Google, at least not for the new Coopers. Lots of stuff for the older models. I'll keep looking. Mainly cause I know I can't afford any of it right now.

Why is the ad copy exactly the same for the Newton covers and MINImania covers? ...

We have developed a brand new design of leather seat covers for this very exciting new car. Utilizing the Sports seat foam cushions as used on the new Cooper "S" models, the design we have chosen will appeal to not only traditionalists of the early 1960's Classic Mini, but also to those who wish to add a new dimension to their MINI motoring. We are only using British leather and all components of our seat kits are made from leather. We have had our leather front seat covers tested by MIRA, ( The Motor Industry Research Association)

It's sometimes hard to tell the UK-Mini websites from the US-mini sites. MiniMania is US, right? It sounds like they are distributing Newton's seat covers or they scabbed the Ad copy .... or Newton is manufacturing the covers for MM. I prefer the black & red and have also looked all over for a reasonable pair. But according to exchange rates the Newton seats at 1,200 pounds is approx $2,100 USD plus overseas shipping. ... And Katzkin wants to only sell to distributors ... or make you submit a form requesting more information about installation. You ought to be able to just buy the covers and take them to a local upholstry shop .... why the runaround? ..... all this just makes it more frustrating.

If you want pics and ideas on more interior changes you should see this thread in red-
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...mp;topic=24302
and contact jivanivan.
He used a vinyl paint on the doors to get the red and I think it looks very good while others like ~sugar~ have used real leather in the oval (ostrich?)

Nice custom mats from http://www.cocomats.com (took a month to order)
2 mats from $39.95
http://cocomats.com/faqs.htm

You can see the Ostrich skin texture. The door panels were taken apart completely

Painted door pulls-anthracite, oval painted dark charcoal grey
For how to:

And more painting of the door oval trim

Maybe you can get replacement parts out of the 2005 Mini parts bin:

"A new ‘body coloured’ trim has increased MINI Cooper S interior trim choices to five. Colours available are Chili Red, Liquid Yellow, Electric Blue and Hyper Blue. Alternatively customers can choose from silver, anthracite, alloy patina, and wood."

Thanks for the links and pictures minihune!

gravedgr--- While I would love to be able to get stock parts from MINI, the price will probably be outrageous.
