If you want a real arm rest, the Mini-Fini is the best one period...
All the little compartment ones pale by comparison. I have it on
my car and am glad I do.

Go to:

MINIFINI armrests, cup link cupholders, etc can only be purchased from authorized MINI dealers.

It is a ROCK SOLID part, totally harndcore construction, but install is also a bit complicated for some people....dealers charge 2 hours or more!!

Man, 250 is a bit steep. But that is definatly the nicest armrest available...I mean, theres no contest. That thing looks so cool, and fits the interior so well.

I bought this armrest last December and the quality is awesone!

As for the installation, I did it myself in about 1 hour. The "hardest" part is to remove the center console... I did it without any instructions because I was one of the first one to get it. It's really a straight foward install. (At least, with the DSC module).

I had the dealer install mine as I was picking up my S out of state and driving almost 1000 miles home. Sure glad I had it. Looks great, and works better.

(bigpmj, I also have a 2004 EB/EB Cooper S, don't see too many of those do we?)

Gotta love that search tool; however, it will pull up some old, OLD threads!

That having been said, I was looking for an alternative to the stock center arm rest, found this thread and started my research. Now, I really liked the MINI-FINI arm rest back when I was considering a Mini but figured I'd get one later on. That was almost three years ago. I've been able to try both and liked the Mini-Fini better. Now that I'm going over 12k on my 06 CR/W MCS, my co-pilot wants an arm rest, so I've found the arm rest I want over at Mini-Fini at this link:

http://www.minifini.com/ShopDetail.aspx?id=4

So, I go over to MotoringFile for some reviews and find this thread:

http://motoringfile.com/2005/09/12/a...ni_goes_under/

Now, I'm sorta confused because the Mini-Fini site is ready to take my order today but are they back in business? Did a lot change for them in '06? I don't wanna dump money on a dead site and blissfully wait my new toy.

So, I've got a couple of questions.

1.) I'm wondering if ya'll know if Mini-Fini is back? If not, does anyone know where I can get an arm rest like theirs?
2.) If any owners have an updated opinion on this arm rest? I realize that it is expensive; however, I believe in buying it right the first time and I won't have to pay for it again.
3.) Are there any installation instructions available that I can look at to consider whether this is something I can do or if I should leave this to the professionals?

Thanks for the help!

Cheers!

I think they are operating again, but you might try Aaron, at OutMotoring, as he has sold them in the past, too.

Thanks for the reply! I did look over at Outmotoring.com, however, they aren't currently carrying this type of rest either.

Cheers!

I saw that, too, but I still think Mini Fini is in operation, or Mark wouldn't have them on the Vendor's page anymore.

Again, thanks!! I appreciate your help.

Now, once ya'll awake across the pond there, perhaps someone'll be able to offer an opinion and/or installation tips/advise/experiences!

Cheers!
