Just make your own. Granted I couldn't get mine as good as that pic you pasted but I love mine. I think it came out pretty good. There was a few adjustment since the pictures you see. I kept leaning on the fender without noticing and threw off the lines. We just painted some standard chicken wire flat black and had them pasted from the inside. When I take the car out for spring I'll have some great pictures for you guys. I drew the exact shape and with my dads help he used a MIG and a coping saw.

Thanks buddy. Its definitely a cleaner look, I didn't want to go too deep with the vent because I thought it could come out overdone. I'm very happy with it.

I found some from JCWhitney for like $35 each side. I might actually give it a go! How hard is it to remove the current fender and replace it? Does it involve welding it on?

Thanks buddy . My car is similarly equipped to yours with a few differences but I was thinking about that Aquamist... should I pull the trigger?
Izzy that's just what you need. Removing the fenders are a breeze. Its just a couple of bolts. The only thing that would require welding is the top part to add the panel that closes the vent (2nd/3rd pics). You just need a small piece of quality metal. Most body shops have bits they can spare.
Thanks . Love the color on your 1st-Gen.

What kind of mesh grill do you have on there, to cover the new cut out? Just black wire mesh?
We just painted some standard chicken wire flat black and had them pasted from the inside.
If it's the cheaper one, I have a friend who's a VERY talented welder and could do this for cheap.
Mini///M, can you verify the part number that you used?

Izzy, in looking at the part that Mini///M modified, and those on JCW's site, am I mistaken in thinking it's OEM Part #41352754725 that he's replacing (at $282/ea), as opposed to OEM Part #41217037437 (at $33/ea)?

When I looked at both your part numbers, they're of the same part, but for different models. #41352754725 is for the 2nd gen whereas #41217037437 is for 1st gen. Although I don't see it anywhere for $33 each(best I found was $183). The 2nd gen is about $200 a piece though(IIRC). I just don't know why you wouldn't mod the one you have stock though. Unless you're purchasing(and paying more) for an original OEM one, the cheaper replacements sometimes have fitment issues(which I don't want to deal with specifically) whereas your stock ones are fitted perfect. I might even just find a scrap yard to get the panels for a back-to-stock option.

Here is another pic. Hood and fender need some slight aligning adjustments since I had them pulled to do some TLC in the engine bay.
Sorry for not getting back to you guys on here. I used standard chicken wire but painted it flat black. You can use a stock fender but the aftermarkets fit really nice and are super cheap. I wanted to keep the stocks in case I decide to go back to stock and I can sell the modified ones.

Sorry I never got back to you on the aquamist and to answer your question, YES you definitely should get it. The install is a bit of a good time, but should be no problem for you if you did all of this lol. Way to revive the thread though and remind me I need to pour more money into my car... Also whered you get the porsche brake kit from? It looks FANTASTIC.
