Okay, I see that they do sell just the adapter at TWM:

Their shift ***** are top notch. I think I'll get one. The top fell off of my stock shift ****.

Too much plastic on these cars...

I'm going to order their phantom hybrid ****. Looks cool and looks like it works well multi climate locations.

I'm thinking about one of their hybrids too. It gets so hot here in Texas during the summer time, sounds like a good option.

I have the M1 Abrams shift **** in flat silver. I also went and got a cover from outmotoring for this really hot and cold days.

To answer the question about how custom ***** are played out, it is because it isn't that they have some custom design as much of the fact that a hunch but of people have them. I can go to a MINI meet up and look for into at least one if not more that have some designed shift ****.

I don't know I guess I am not into the "flash" like a lot of people. I just want something that is going to perform. Meh you know what I'm over it.

Interesting... Oddly enough I used to command M1 Abrams tanks during Desert Storm. What is an M1 Abrams shift ****?

Hmmmm, just looked. Nothing like an M1. Why are these better than Whalen's?

I don't think one could definitively say *that* shift **** is better than *this* shift ****. It's all just a matter of opinion & personal preference.

Better maybe, maybe not. I know that they are cheaper to begin with. Also they do offer more options than Whalen *****.

They are a little bit lighter but, I doubt there is anyone out there that can really tell the difference of an ounce and a half. Also I am just bringing other options to the table since all I see with MINI owners is everyone buying the same stuff from the same people.

I had a Whalen Shift Machine **** on my 07 MCS but my Chemo treatments make my hands VERY sensitive to cold. So i Bought this one and I love it. Just seems to have a warmth to it. Crazy Huh. PM me for more info on dealer.

I know this is an old thread but did you have to use an adapter to fit the BMW perf shift **** on your MINI? Does the e90/92 version of the BMW performance shift **** fit also?

Thanks,
Mic

Hey Mic, it doesn't require any sort of adapter. They snap in perfectly. The only oddity is that the H-pattern is tilted in such a way that it'll look "off" a bit. It never bothered me, but it might for others.

Since then I've gone to this...

i tried recording something this morning, but didn't realize how much the damn camera mount screw rattles on my mount. so all my gopro recorded was nothing but rattling and the perspective was too far. I'll try again tomorrow....

sorry for the slight hijack, but along with swapping out the ****, is there a way to shorten the shift lever? i.e. not just the throw, but the actual lever length? The MINI lever just feels so tall...

Either fabricate your own, or the 2nd best option, get the craven ssk short shifter. Not only can it reduce the throw, but definitely reduces length. I've had it before, and there isn't anything close to what that one does, besides my CAE shifter.
