Black Door Handles... ?

i'm looking for a simple way to black out my handles. i think to directly plastidip them would lead to a lot of touch ups of taping, masking, etc a little more frequently than i'd want to do. wrapping them i think would have mixed results because of the deep curves, removing them and having them professionally painted.. cost and time prohibitive, carbon fiber covers.. i'm not a carbon fiber guy...

... but what about using the plastic oem blackjack handle covers, sanding them a bit to rough them up, then plastidip them (for trim texture) or painting them ? they could be popped off and touched up easily, replaceable of one gets damaged or lost, this is looking like the best option.

does anyone have any input, opinions, comments or experience that might help with this a bit ?

Ive plasti dipped my door handles a few times now actually. The driver side looks decent but just cant seem to get the passenger side right. It keeps peeling on me when I try and trim the excess. I may be leaving it to dry for to long but its frustrating. I just cant justify paying over 100 bux for covers for them.

I was also thinking about the blackjack handles and repainting them.

I first tried plasti dip but was never happy with the inside edge...

I will be selling a brand new set (okay, I had them on for a few days to get a feel for them) of these shortly. Got them from AC like a year ago.

Adhesive never removed / adhesive additive tube never opened.

Not going to use them on my JCW, so I'll pass them along to someone new.

Yes, of course!

I've had good fortune on the forums lately (namely finding an impossible-to-find badge, and just finding new red vents), so I'll be happy to pass these along.

Looking up my invoice plus shipping on them. I'll sell them to you for exactly what I have in them, and you won't even have to wait 5 and a half months like I did!

... this forum has to have the best community i've come across.

but since i spent 10 years playing WoW that might not mean much.

See? Good things do happen here!

I played WoW for about 7 years, myself. NAM is a far, far better community of people. I've made a lot of good friends here over the last couple years.
