In my search to find a Ebrake handle to match my polished and brushed shift **** I came across two I really like. I've seen them nowhere else. They both are made of billet aluminum with three set screws to hold them secure. One features polished tips with a brushed grip area. The other features polished tips with a diamond cut, knurled grip area. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to post the pics! As soon as I do I'll post them. There're really nice! (IMO)

Thanks for the posting help Trippy. A buddy of mine sent me the pics. I tried to contact him to find out where he got them and how much they are. So far he hasn't answered my e-mail. I'll keep everyone posted. So how do you like them?

I finally got the info on the ebrake handles pictured. They can be purchased from AKG Motorsports. They are $55.00 each and that INCLUDES shipping by priority mail anywhere in the US. Their website is http://www.akgmotorsport.com They say their e36 handles will fit the MINI. They don't have the handles pictured above on their website yet, so drop them an e-mail if you're interested in the ones pictured here. They also do custom work! I purchased the polished/brushed version and the quality is great. It matches my polished and brushed shift **** perfectly.

Nice look! Is there a part number to reference to ensure the right part is ordered? Thanks

There is no part number. Just describe the handle you want. Polished/brushed smooth design or diamond cut design. To ensure the right part ask them to e-mail the photo to you so you can verify if you like. They are nice people to work with. I'm sure you won't have any trouble ordering.

I installed mine a couple of days ago along with a leather e-brake boot. Looks great and installed easily. I'm sure you'll like your new e-brake handle as well!

Can you give me a few tips on removing the present e-brake handle and installing the new one? Thanks. MMM

There are instructions on OutMotorings website. The biggest problem I had was removing the silver endcap from the e-brake handle. Their are two prongs that hold it on. The right side lifts up easily but the left is a real bugger. I located the tabs and depressed one with a screw driver. With pressure the cap finally came free.
Good Luck.

Does anyone have a pic of either of these installed? I'm curious how they look with the end release button installed.

Thanks!

I just installed my AKG handle, it is one slightly different than the ones shown as it has grooves separating the brushed and polished sections. Install was easy, and took about 10 minutes. Likely I should have cleaned it a bit, as the camera brings out the fingerprints, c'est la vie.

That is very helpful. I'm most tempted by the second handle pictured (with the "diamond" pattern). Based on your picture though, I think it is important that it be made with a tapered end -- the end on yours merges nicely into the release button.

Thanks!
