Thank you Sid....... Take the wheels of the car, remove the inner plastic liner from
the wheel wells line upp the aluminum parts according to our "beautifull installation guide" the last part
is a 2 dude job.

Nice eye candy. Can you post a pic of just the center portion so we can see the shape of it?

Peter, could put up some shots of this from various standing views? Does the wing follow the bumper plan view?

Also, what type of coating is used on the aluminum? Just wondering how it would hold up against debris.

What is the ground clearance on a car that hasn't been lowered?
Is there any chance that it could be made of something other than carbon fiber?

Peter, what is the rate of slag spew that can be tossed onto the hood of a vehicle trailing by one car length at 65mph? We got about eight inches of snow here last night. Could your splitter handle that?

If it wasn't so ridiculously priced, I'd be all over it. Do you have a cheaper one in exactly the same shape? It would be totally worth it for slagging those pesky tailgaters.

its a small hydrofoil. after turning on water mode (not available in the states thats what the button on the left hand side of the steering wheel is for) you can see the water jet intake which was left on the car it underneath the car.. some people incorectly identifiy this as the (steering fan) but seriously who needs a fan for steering unless your on the water?!? anway this is what is deployed so that in true bond ( another british icon previously owned by BMW) style you can glide across the water on your own mini hydrofoil... it make those pesky bridges a thing of the past.. This sort of thing comes standard on all new british cars, so incase tehy need to get off the island of GB in a hurry. And if you belive all that then I have hunderds of acres for sale in oceanfront Idaho and there at crazy eddy prices.

dude i like it, but i don't think it's very practical. i mean wouldn't dirt, water, snow, rocks and just about anything else the road throws at u be caught in the splitter? and how durable is it?

After extensive road testing on twisty canyon roads, Peter has designed this to prevent a MINI from losing control and crashing into a guard rail during an illegal street race

Actually, in contrast with all the contrived, pimp-chic, useless, and just plain hideous contraptions that have been posted here and passed off as cool, I think this piece is much more subtle. Assuming I were to drive my MINI at 136mph or whatever its top speed is and therefore needed downforce in the rear AND that this device actually worked, I'd much rather have it than a dual plane Fokker bolted to the top of the hatch.

Plus the idea of a filthy slag plume trailing behind me on i495 is almost irresistible.

I like the idea, unfortunately I know that if I put it on it will be vandalized in a week tops. Some jealous hater will stomp on it real hard and snap it in the middle and that'll be 5 bills down the tube.

Peter - I'm trying to weigh down the rear end of the MINI - are you going to be making a less-expensive-at-the-expense-of-weight (fiberglass) version of the device?

Naturally, any windtunnel testing you've done to date would be nice to see

And if that isn't available, track times with/without would be super

And the vendor "slamming" continues.....how old are you guys? If you don't need it, don't buy it. It's not for everyone...especially if your Mini is your only car....Duh

haha... well said msfitoy... as far as I know, peter's products seem to be mainly track oriented, but usable on the street. worried about speed bumps and dirt?... then i doubt this is the product for you.
