so embarrassed (cup holders)

2 days in moving from a heavily modified R55 to an R60... and I have to post asking about cup holders?

My new All4 S has the third seat option, which I really wanted. I have to boys 10 and 13. What are you '3rd seat people' doing for cup holders in the back?

I can't answer your question but I can relate to it.
My "boys" are now 19 and 21.
I moved from a minivan loaded with cupholders, into a R55 almost 3 years ago.
At your stage, cup holders are crucial.

buy drinks w/a screw on cap (ie water). Place the bottle anywhere, all problems solved.

There are also seat-back storage thingys that hold all but the kitchen sink.

Is it possible to aftermarket the two seats in place of the bench in the back?

I am surprised they didn't put them in the middle part of the back seat that flips down. :(

There must be some option out there, somewhere.

I was shocked and ordered the original two seat option because the middle did not have cup holders!

You did not BAN drinking or eating in your new MINI?!
Jk...try a seat back organizer... Did it on a different car once...not exactly stylish... But overall...still better than a minivan...

hahahahah, I have a 4 yr old and a 20 mo. old back there. I have to just choose not to imagine the mess back there until I need to get down on my knees and attempt to delouse the cabin.

I have zero insight into your question, but having just ordered a Clubman, it is the first vehicle I've ever purchased where I had to consider more than just my needs and wants. Talk about a strange feeling... Wait a person with legs needs to fit in the rear seats? There needs to be enough space for our family of 4 to travel for a long weekend, AND bring our luggage with us?

Online reports indicate that MINI will soon be offering an optional storage package for the R60 which will include a double cupholder in the rear. Not sure if it'll be available for for bucket seats, bench seats, or both.

I hope it can be easily retrofitted.

If you haul kids, cup holders are a must. I find it odd that the thid seat option would not provide cup holders when my Coupe(two passinger only) has two cup holders up front and a single cup holder in the back( who is going to use that one).

Same here. Thought I do grant an exceptions to beverages on road trips...as long as they are in a sealed drink container, eg. sippy cups for the kids, and re-sealable bottles or leak-proof travel mugs for the adults.

If you're hungry, TFB...we'll stop for breakfast/lunch/dinner in a little while.

The organizer is money for rear seat passengers, especially kids. Get em as mentioned above.

Rear bucket seats are now no longer an option so it's for the bench seat.

They were still an option 6 weeks ago when I ordered mine, thank goodness!

My 2014 has cup holders in the back. Maybe you can retrofit those parts into your mini.

Here is the thread where I talk about the new design rear cup holders: It was with the information about the redesigned new front cup holder and retrofit parts. As well as the "Mickey" speedo updated trim and vents.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-a-12-a-8.html

Nothing available yet for the rear cup-holder section.

Thanks
