i got the Orciari ones and they fit great! really good quality, getting them on was a little annoying.

How about these?

Unlike the Oricari scoops, they're functional. (Not a criticism, just a point of conversation.)

Anyone running a functional cowl scoop mod? Or are we all waiting for BenFer Permormacne to come out with their kit?

I remember Cat and Dog racing talking about doing a scoop too, but I haven's seen one.

Got the scoops and love them! They are my favorite mod to date. They really give the MINI a cleaner look. Here are some pics: This one is kinda far away...
Here is one a little closer-

I got tired of waitin on the Cat & Dog Racing scoops, and I don't really believe they will help performance much (that's a whole other debate, though), so I got the Orciari.

the Oricari cowl scoops aren't functional ???
i don't understand, doesn't the cold air intake grab outside air from the driver's side cowl?
did Cat & Dog come out with their scoops yet?
& will they be fumctional?

The Orciari scoops (in white above) are not designed to be functional. I suppose one could make them part of a functional cold air system, but you'd have to do all of the underhood plumbing yourself. If you put an Orciari scoop on your MCS, the engine still breathes through the stock air box, which is routed to the front of the car, not the cowl.

If you do a search you'll probably be able to find the Cat & Dog discussion about his scoops. I think they were meant to be functional, like the BenFer set up, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "you'd have to do all of the underhood plumbing yourself."

what about a bigger scoop for the intercooler? I saw a top gear review of the BBR 275 and the mini he was driving had a bigger hood scoop. anyone got a idea where to pick one up at?

Can't wait!
By the way, how many of you did that Webb Motorsports airbox mod from way back in the day? Did you like it? See any gains? Would this have anything to do with cowl induction?

F15EWeapon, your scoops look good. I like the mesh on your other scoop as well.
