Anyone know when B&M will have their short shifter for the '04 MINI's?

Sorry if this seems obvious, but have you called and asked them?

Their short shifter is far and away my favorite mod on my '03 Cooper!

I just called and they said end of spring probably. sucks for us '04 owners.

Things have changed on the car I take it? So you can't buy the exisitng B&M to go on an '04? Hmmm, I did not know that. Any idea why or what has changed?

 

Helix is close to having the Adapter for the 04 build MINI's done, so that is a good option if B&M is taking too long..

CMINIGO, 10/03 build dates and later MINI changed the size of the ball pivot of the shift lever ( made it larger ). It looks like the Alta short shifter will beat out B&M with the next short shift kit. This might have to be a serious consideration.

Thanks. How does the larger ball "joint" make sense technically? I mean, they had to make the change for a reason, right? Oh well... I'll wait for B&M to release an updated kit, just hope it's in a few months and it's the same price point as the current ss kit.
