hey, I know this has been talked about and people have done some getto jobs themselves (and some of them looked good) and I have always hated having just ONE missing switch (I have DSC and fog lights, i know that some have two blank switches) but I wanted it to be OEM so i waited, and waited. Finally, MINI released the european fog light conversion to america (read the many post on "rear fog lights&quot. Global Imports MINI (Mareitta, Ga) charged me $75 for parts and another $50 for install, with tax it came out to be $132. That price includes them activating the rear fog lights (I say activate because they don't do any installing, all the wires and bulbs are their, it is just a software update!! I know what a scam). I have the brake light mod done (read the post on "brake light mod&quot so I didn't want the fog lights, I only wanted the full set of switches. So end of the story is that I paid $132 to have a extra switch that does nothing!

Are you sure $75 plus $75 plus tax equals $132?

It is harder to make the toggle switches work than one would think. The switches are not normal relays (where a wire comes in and another one leaves and the switch blocks/unblocks the current) think of them like keyboard keys on your computer. When flipped, a eletrical signal goes to the computer (not sure which one, I guess the ECU??) and then the computer in return does what it is supposed to do (like send power to the rear fogs). So to make that switch do something, you have to program the computer to respond to the switch. Does that make since
