Well, the weather in Nebraska has just let up and it was time to wash the MCS. Well as I was washing I found a tiny hole in the white bonnet stripe of my IB/W MCS. Well since IB paint is under it, it is really apparent. Is there any quick fix for this?

Also, I have found myself in love with the IB/B MCS. Does anyone know how much it would cost to paint the roof and mirrors and get new bonnet stripes? Is it even worth my time?

I had the same problem with my bonnet stripes getting pitted with all the gravel the Colorado Dept. of Transportation likes to put down in the winter.

I would recommend waiting until spring, and then having a sign shop make up a custom set of vinyl bonnet stripes for your MINI. I did that and it ran me $30 for the materials and $45 for the installation. That way you can get custom stripes and then when they get pitted, you have the choice of going back to no stripes, or of changing them up again. I never could commit to one "look" of bonnet stripes enough to actually paint them onto the car.

 

MY $.02... check with cooper flags a sponser and vendor of this site...you can purchase the exact factory bonnet stripes form them and have them installed or do it yourself...otherwise your taking a chance that you won't get what is right for the car. Best Regards Dave
