Mods to my R52...

I got some mods done to the Cabrio, here's a look...

I had purchased the standard "S" door sills for the install. When I picked up the car, the shop had installed these instead, nice surprise

...most likely due to the fact I had just gone on a JCW carbon fiber buying spree

Looks nice! Do you have any close-up pics of how you attached the splitter through the grill? I like the idea of a splitter but have no interest in drilling a hole through the bumper cover.

Thanks Here's a pic of the attachment points. I too, did not want to drill throughout the bumper.

Looks great...thanks for the pic! And it has the bonus of being easy to make sure you are putting the support in exactly the same place.

Yes, exactly. It also will provide a little flex, for when you screw up and bump it, as well as removing the splitter and not having to replace/repair the bumper skin.

That's a really sharp looking vert. Nice work! I really love those M7 splitters.

Nice stance, too.

I sourced the emblems from Coopersport.com That is the aero splitter, I liked the shape of it better in contrast to the S bumper.

It's made by West Coast Mini. Try M7 to purchase.

Still around, BlueToy? You have the most amazing looking R52 I've seen and it's the same color as mine! I'm going to copy just about everything you did, just going to take a me a few years

Looks like you are rocking a roadster now. Who owns your R52 now?

Just bumping up an amazing looking R52S!

Thanks for bumping this thread PokerMunkee, I might not have seen it otherwise and it is indeed a beautifully well-done ride, plus the photography is top-shelf stuff so it's a real treat to look at!

I love inspirational threads like this.

The OP has not been around since 2016.

NAM is a treasure trove of older posts. I "rebooted" a header thread recently and with allot of new members have thought about picking an oldie but goodie every couple of weeks.

That's a great idea about selecting an oldie but goldie every couple of weeks because indeed NAM is a goldmine of goodstuff.

Looking through the intensive archives has been great fun and it's a tremendous resource for noobs like me!

Too bad photobucket betrayed their user patrons because much good visual info was lost in that whole ordeal, and it has affected all the different forums across the boards due to broken image links --- it is true about a picture saying a thousand words, but still I'm thankful for the folks who take the time to write very detailed and articulated posts because they survive intact and succeed in transmitting the information even if a few image links are busted.
