rookie wheel question

Im looking into buying an r56 right now, and the largest flaw this car suffers to my knowledge is that 3/4 wheels are bent, and the tires are also deformed because of this. I found a set of wheels i really like (enkei nt03-m) and i notice that they are 17" dia by 7.5" wide. They have a 4x100 bolt pattern, so these wheels will fit an r56, right? Also, is that in agreement with the stock wheel sizes? Namely, is 7.5" the width of a stock (or JCW) 17" wheel?

Also, what size tires will i need to shod these wheels in?

They will fit. But I think the stock wheels are only 7 inches wide not 7.5.
You can use 205 or 215 on the wheels. The 205's will feel more stock. The 215 which is what I have on my car don't feel as tight as the 205.

The exact tires size I use on my 17 X 17.5 +40 4-100 wheels are the 215/45ZR17.

Damaged Wheels & Tires

This sounds like a "Big Red Flag". Listen to it. "MINI Excitement" can cause one to do foolish things.

Got your attention? What do you suppose happened to suspension parts in the process of damaging 3 wheels and tires? Furthermore, I can't imagine how wheel alignment or a road test could tell anything under these conditions.

If you haven't had the car inspected, you might do better taking your money to the casino. Please keep looking - there are plenty of good cars out there.

Just my opinion.

My initial thoughts too gramps.

The factory wheels are pretty rugged in comparison to aftermarket. If they sustained damage to the degree you describe there certainly has to be other hidding suspension issues with this MINI.
