Smoking out arches and reflectors on countryman

Hey guys! Getting my CM here pretty soon, and I want to completely murder it out....I've seen tint strips for arches on other minis, but not countryman specific. Anyone know where I can get tint strips for CM arches and reflectors so I don't have to pay someone else an obscene amount to do it?
Thanks!

I like this place. Good prices. 1 foot by 2 feet should be enough to do ALL4 :-)

Hopefully that's not a serious suggestion. Plasti-dip is not translucent.

Lamin-X works great and is removable, but not sure if they make cut outs yet for the R60.. check their site.

Yes it is a serious suggestion....I have it on mine. Do you have any experience with using Plasti-Dip? You can see the light still.....up to the OP as to what they decide to do. You can also take it off easily if needed. I have my side scuttle lenses and rear lights plasti-dipped and you can see the light shine through. I have pictures of this in my gallery so feel free to have a look. I had to redo my arch reflectors and the plasti-dip came off easily.

Your gallery doesn't have any pictures in it, but I'll take your word for it. It seems like it would block out the light entirely, but I stand corrected.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Yeah, Lamin-x doesn't have the cutouts yet, and I feel like I'd eff up anything in a spraycan. May just get a gnarly roll of it?

I am trying to give you an educated opinion........so please dont think I am being pushy, lol. Plasti-Dip is completely idiot proof. Like I said I have done numerous parts on my car and I was afraid at first that I would mess it up or that it wasnt as easy to do/remove as the forum was saying. Trust me when I say you cannot mess this up and its cost effective. If you get any of your car, besides where you are wanting to put it, it will come off with great ease!! When I did my taillights I didnt even tape off the car to do it....there is no residue left...it came off easy!!!! If you are wanting to go with a tint like film go to somewhere that does tinting and ask them to do them for you!! Just a suggestion

One can of VHT paint and some masking tape is what I used for the reflectors. My gallery works and there's a close up of it. I did my tail lights in VHT as well. All my lights shine through perfectly. I used plasti dip for my front grill and my rear MINI logo, though. And yes, plasti dip is amazing! I haven't put up the pics of the rear MINI logo yet, but it looks great. I used high temperature black paint for the front MINI logo (also haven't put those pics up yet).

Minifide, that looks amazing. I'm going to do this on my all black mini. what type of plasti dip did you buy? Any recommendations where to look to remove headlights/taillights and grill?
