Hey Gang,

I made a cool holder for the mini fini cup holder....like many of you the cup holder is in a crappy spot when you have a passenger. Besides I've used the mini fini down tube bracket to steady my lap top rack.

It's just a piece of 1/8th x 2" plate with a piece of round tubing that fits the male stub on the cup holder.

You put the plate under the carpet..then push the cup holder down and it locks onto the mat very tightly. You position it so the cup holder is right in the corner of the passenger foot well..against the consol....works great!

I like to keep a big bottle of water with with a sport cap with me all the time and the stock cup hoders are nfg for that.

It's easy to make if your handy....maybe if there's some interest I'd make a bunch of em and sell them to the list. Whatdathink?

I also made a cool mount for my LG6000 Camera Phone...it fits nice and tight to the consol... You have to make a saw blade cut thru the side of the stock driver side cup holder, then the flat mount sides in and screws down indise the cup holder...when you put the ashtray back...it covers the screws. You also need to put a rubber stop in the seat track so the seat doesn't come up and wack it. I never have rear seat passengers so its not a problem...

Hey Guys....

I just got back from a business trip...and was wonderining if anyone used my idea and made a floor / carpet holder for the cupholder. I like it...it's out of the way, easy to grab, and doesn't clog up the console area..

I took the mini upto oswego and it ran great....the novilty of how it handles hasn't worn off.

Btw...I told my wifes grand am out to the deli this morning....and god it felt like crap...
I'm wondering what my truck is gona feel like when I take it out...I'm worried I'm not going to like driving it anymore (

I ordered one of these from Bobbyn and it came today. It Is Great ! The Mini Fini cupholder attached to the new floor bracket that Bob made now fits easily on the floor on either the driver's or passenger's side of the car. The best part: In either location it is far enough forward that it doesn't get in the way of sliding either front seat forward to get at stuff in the back seat, or to put stuff there (or people).

Soon after taking delivery of my '04 MCS I removed the Mini Fini Cup holder that came in the car because every time I slid my front seat all the way forward to get into the backseat, the front seat would crash into the cubholder. I was afraid I would soon break it off of the downtube. Now that problem has disappeared.

This is a really handy item for anyone that wants to have a larger cup holder in front, but down on the floor instead of being higher up connected to the downtube.
