Love the interior work. I really would like to go with the CF and black buttons on my steering wheel as well. I would also like to go with the dark gauges that the new JCW's have in. I have yet to find them in aftermarket, but they would look super sharp in your car also!!!!!!!!!

Hey thanks Jasoncolorado! I haven't seen the new JCW dark gauges. Might have to go and check them out. I was just up in your neck of the woods for about three weeks. Had a blast bombing through the canyons and mountain roads. We don't have those down here in South Texas! Can't wait to go back again. Nice cool weather as well. We were stuck in a rut of 100F+ for about two weeks while I was enjoying your nice Colorado weather.

Here I am up Clear Creek canyon road...

Spent about 5 days in Sante Fe on my way home. My other favorite place to go... the El Paradero Bed & Breakfast Inn. The absolute best place to stay in Sante Fe!

Glad you enjoyed Colorado. I am originally from the South so I know about the heat and humidity that can occur in the summer. The summers here are spectacular. We have a very active MINI chapter here....if you come back this way...look us up. We are always looking for an excuse to ride. www.mini5280.org

Yeah, I lived there while I went to school in Golden. My brother and sister still live there after growing up in Texas. I came back Texas but am thinking about getting a second house, either in Colorado of Sante Fe. I'll be back but not until next year. Just missed your group's run up Mt. Evans.

How are those Urban (pin-striped) mats holding up? Are they made well, and stay in place?
I have seen 2 slightly different color options? Did you see both of them before you decided on yours?

Thanks!

wen with sisal mats

I had decided to get one of the cocomat.com products, and requested a sample of the dark grey herringbone cocomat, grey wool, and medium grey sisal.

The grey wool is beautiful. Variegated a bit, tightly woven, and of a good shade for my MC's dark interior.
However, I eventually chose the medium grey sisal, which has a very similar weave and color as the wool.
The cocomat was nice, but not what I wanted, the wool was a bit too pricy, and the sisal is ideal.
The tone of the grey works with the lighter & silvery colors, and brings light down to the floor.
I can take some photos of anyone wants to see what the sisal mats look like.

Hello,

When I purchased the mats, they were the only mats they had other than the checkered (yuck) and plain black (cheap looking). They didn't have both colors when I bought them but mine turned out to be the lighter grey pinstriped mats and they look great. They stay in place just as well as the checkered mats they replaced, since they used the same fasteners.

Unfortunately, my car has been parked since July and so the mats have very little wear and won't get any additional wear until March next year. I've purchased many mats over the years and can say they look very well made and fully expect to get many years out of them with as little wear as they get now but would also expect them to hold up to much more wear as well. To my eyes and taste, they are the best looking mats that MINI sells. YMMV...
